Science and Technology Center

Construction of the Science and Technology Center is currently underway. The design includes a planetarium, which planners predict will make the Science and Technology Center a magnet for research, teaching and community enrichment.

The planetarium will feature a 60-foot dome and seating for about a hundred visitors. The domed display will accommodate astronomical presentations along with other 3-D spectacles such as a virtual voyage through a living cell, cyber tours of historic battlefields and more. At ground level, high-tech, high-touch displays and activities will bring subjects down to earth for students and other visitors.

Modern laboratories outfitted for study and research, specialty classrooms for teacher training and the latest instructional equipment and technology are incorporated in the state-of-the-art facility.
