Subject:            Division of Business and Administration Family Scholarship Program

I am pleased to announce the creation of a scholarship program for the benefit of Business and Administration employee’s children. The details associated with the program are included in the attached document. Once operational, all employees with satisfactory performance evaluations will be eligible to apply for assistance through the scholarship program.

The family scholarship program will be funded entirely through employee donations. The program will require at least $500 per year in contributions to sustain a scholarship award.
If more funds are available, more scholarships will be awarded.

Recently, each of you should have received information from the Office of Advancement encouraging you to make a contribution to the University. If you chose to participate, congratulations, if you weren’t ready to make a commitment at the time, I hope you will consider participating in this effort to create a fund for the benefit of our children.

Contributions to this scholarship program can be made through payroll deduction and personal checks will also be accepted. Staff members in my office are available to answer any questions you may have related to the program.

Texas A&M University-Commerce has a legacy of providing students from Northeast Texas an opportunity to gain access to higher education at an affordable price. This scholarship program will provide additional resources to make a college education attainable for our children.
