Political Science 220 (GOVT 2305) - The United States Government (Three semester hours)

Introduction to American government with attention to the U. S. Constitution, its origins and principles; civil rights; structure and functions of the Congress, presidency, and judiciary; and to national politics; voting, opinion, parties, elections.

Note: Due to differences in course content at different institutions, it is recommended that students complete the required courses in political science (government) at the same institution. This course fulfills partial requirements for the Social & Behavioral Science portion of the University Studies.
