History 403 - Revolutionary America and the Early National United States, 1775-1850 (Three semester hours)

This course offers a survey of the rise, progress, and termination of the American Revolution. Topics that will be covered include: the emergence of mature colonial political, economic and social institutions; the Great Awakening; Indian/European relations; the wars for empire between France and Great Britain; the war for American Independence; the social, economic, political consequences of independence; and the drafting and ratifying of the United States Constitution.
