CHEM 1407* (CHEM 1407) - Survey of Organic and Biochemistry (Four semester hours - 3 lecture; 3 lab)

A one semester survey of organic chemistry. The course treats the principles, nomenclature, reactions and methods of synthesis of organic compounds. Special attention is given to the chemistry of biological processes. This course is not suitable for biological science majors or minors.

Prerequisite: CHEM 1405 or CHEM 1411 or CHEM 1412.


Note: This course fulfills partial requirements for the Natural Science portion of the University Studies.

*Students planning to enter professional and/or graduate schools should elect Chemistry 211-212.
