The Physician's
Assistant Program requires two years of undergraduate training to
gain admission to the School of Allied Health Professions, Southwest
Medical School in Dallas; School of Allied Health Sciences, University
of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston; and Baylor College of Medicine
in Houston. Completion of the program may lead to a baccalaureate
degree in health care sciences, certification as a physician's assistant,
and eligibility to write the National Certification Examination
administered by the National Board of Medical Examiners.
