The programs of study in the Department of Chemistry are approved by the American Chemical Society and have been designed to provide scientific training for students. Two programs of study for a bachelor's degree with a major in chemistry are provided to meet the different career goals of the candidate.

Students seeking a bachelor's degree in the following major must complete: (1) degree requirements for a Bachelor of Arts or Science degree and (2) University Studies requirements. In addition, courses in the major must be completed. Transfer students are required to complete a minimum of Chemistry 352 and 9-10 semester hours for a major and Chemistry 351 and 3-4 semester hours of chemistry for a minor at A&M-Commerce.
