MyPlan for a B.A. in Chemistry

This degree provides a background in chemistry for students whose career goals are to enter the health professions, but with an option to continue graduate study in chemistry not chemistry fields. The competencies of students who elect this degree option are an understanding of the basic theory and practices of chemistry with significant research training

Students seeking a bachelor's degree in the following major must complete: (1) degree requirements for a Bachelor of Arts degree and (2) University Studiesrequirements (refer to those sections of this catalog). In addition, courses in the major must be completed as shown below. Transfer students are required to complete a minimum of Chemistry 352 and 9-10 semester hour for a major and Chemistry 351 and 3-4 semester hours of chemistry for a minor at A&M-Commerce.
