Alumni Ambassadors
At the 19th Annual Alumni Ambassador
Forum, 27 graduates returned to campus for a day to meet with their
academic departments, speak to classes about their experiences since
graduation and be recognized at a special luncheon.
Designation as an Ambassador is the highest honor an academic
department can bestow on graduates. More than 500 Alumni have received
the designation over the past 18 years.
Now meet your 2002 Alumni
Ambassadors...

Why do we say thank you?
It is because you, the Ambassadors, are the ones going forth to
forge new territory for the University. It is you who bring respect
and distinction to the University as a sample of our product. It
is you who send us your most valuable resource, your children. And,
it is you who serve daily as Ambassadors of the University for all
those with whom you come in contact. These are but a few of your
many contributions for which we say thank you.

The playgrounds that you and Nancy built
Children already are swinging, sliding and climbing on equipment
provided through the generosity of a number of Alumni, businesses
and friends of the University. Nancy McFarland, wife of President
Keith McFarland, called attention to the need for the equipment
and raised more than $25,000 so that children at the learning center
and family housing would have better places to play. For more on
the new playthings and other campus improvements, see
page 5.
