A&M-C OFFERS BUSINESS CLASSES IN MCKINNEY THIS FALL

For Immediate Release/10-18-06/Lorraine Pace

COMMERCE, Texas - If you are in the Collin County Community College transfer program or are a graduate thinking of earning a coveted master's of business administration, Texas A&M University-Commerce is able to show you how to earn your degree in the easiest, quickest and most affordable way.

A&M-Commerce is partnering with the Collin County Community College to offer classes in both the bachelor's of science in business administration and the MBA program, on the Central Park campus in McKinney this fall.

Says Hal Langford, A&M-Commerce's business and technology dean, "With the uncertainty of gasoline prices and the cost of traveling, we are trying to go to the places where the students are so they don't have to commute.

"We believe in being as user-friendly as possible, which is also why we offer some of our classes online.

The programs are reasonably priced and offer exceptional value, according to Langford.

The premier Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International accredits the A&M-Commerce MBA program. This accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in management education.

A&M-Commerce is one of the few colleges in the area to obtain the prestigious accreditation based on the quality of its program and its experienced faculty.

GetEducated.com, the consumer orientated online degree clearing house, also named the A&M-Commerce online MBA as one of America's "Best Buys."

The classes will be held in the early evenings on four nights a week.

Students pursuing the MBA will build expertise in business administration and in areas such as finance, accounting, economics and marketing. Students without a business background may be required to take a few leveling courses online.

A&M-Commerce will also have representatives at the Collin County Community Colleges to help students plan their studies.

"This is the second year we have offered the classes in McKinney and we have enrollment of more than 30 people. We are looking forward to growing even more," says Langford.
