SUPERVISOR'S
RIGHTS & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Rights of each Supervisor include:
 

1. Expecting quality work from your student worker.

2. Informing your student employee of any unsatisfactory work
    performance.

3.Terminate your student worker with proper 
   documentation  and after discussing the reasons with that  
   student employee.

4. Being informed by the Student Employment Coordinator of 
    any special requirements for students who will be paid
    under the federal Work Study program.

5. Expecting your student worker to follow the work  
    schedule you have agreed upon.

6. Expecting confidentiality from your student worker.

7. Expecting your student worker to follow any particular
    requirements of your office or department.

The Responsibilities of each Supervisor include:

1. Communicating to the student the duties and requirements.

2. Inform the student if his work performance is satisfactory or
    unsatisfactory.

3. Provide the student with the tools necessary for performing
    the work assigned (training, materials, etc.,).

4. Submitting any documents or paperwork needed in order for
     the student to be paid correctly and on time.

5. Adhering to the Student Employment procedures
    established and for monitoring your department's student
    wage budget.
