Videographer
Summary of Responsibilities
Campus
Recreation’s Videographer is employed to capture, edit, render and upload
videos as needed by the professional staff
for events/programs/etc. Assist the graphic designers or others in the Media
Service Department when needed. Work under the supervision of the Assistant
Director of Operations and the Marketing and Design GA/Intern.
Primary Duties:
« Capture, edit, render, and export videos for website, youtube, or video bank.
« Collect, edit and maintain video bank on a regular basis.
« Upload videos to social networking accounts.
« Develop and follow through a policy and procedure for shooting such as what and how to shoot.
« Assist in various multi media tasks during special events.
« Perform other duties assigned as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
«
Must
be a student at Texas A&M University-Commerce that is currently enrolled
or
pre-registered in classes holding at least part-time status.
Preferred:
« Academic concentration in Radio/Television or related field.
*Applicants must bring or have access to examples of work to be considered
for this position.
*Applicants must demonstrate videography skills through previous projects.
Experience
Required:
« Must possess current CPR/FA/AED certification or be able to get within two months of hire.
« Must be able to work flexible schedule.
« Must possess excellent writing and communication skills.
« Possess excellent customer service skills and able to work well with others.
« Must have good working knowledge of cameras and other video equipment.
« Experience in Final Cut Pro or similar program is required.
« Understanding of basic design principles such as composition, focal point, etc.
Preferred:
« Experience working in InDesign or Illustrator.
« Ability to learn new software if needed.
« Online social networking knowledge.
« Experience working with video galleries on the web.
« Ability to cross platforms from PC to Mac.
Pay Rate
$7.25 p/hr. Maximum of 19 hours per week.

Graphic Designer

Campus Recreation’s Graphic Designer is employed to create any form of advertising needed by the professional staff for events/programs/building notices/etc. Assist the web master or others in the Media Service Department when needed. Work under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Operations and the Marketing and Design Intern/GA.
Primary Duties:
« Create advertisements for events and promotions according to the media request form.
« Meet deadlines so that events are properly advertised.
« Collaborate with the others in the Media Department to complete assigned tasks on time.
« Maintain graphic standards of the University according to the manual.
« Assist in various multi media tasks during special events.
« Create and maintain relationships with contacts on campus.
« Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
« Must be a student at Texas A&M University-Commerce that is currently enrolled or pre-registered in classes holding at least part-time status.
Preferred:
« Academic concentration in Communication Design-emphasis in Design, Art Direction, New Media or related field.

must bring or have access to examples of work to be considered for this
position.
*Applicants must demonstrate design skills through previous projects.
Experience
Required:

« Must be able to work flexible schedule.
« Must possess excellent writing and communication skills.
« Possess excellent customer service skills and able to work well with others.
« Ability to multitask and complete projects in a timely manner.
« Good organization and computer skills are required.
« Experience in Adobe Photoshop required.
Preferred:
« Experience working with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Flash and/or Dreamweaver.
« Some marketing knowledge preferred.
« Ability to cross platforms from PC to Mac and learn new software if needed.
« Understanding of basic design principles such as hierarchy, typography, and layout.
Pay Rate
$7.25 p/hr.
Maximum of 19 hours per week.
