
2008-2009 Graduate On-Campus Housing Scholarship
Graduate On-Campus Housing Scholarship Applications will be continuously accepted in the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships.
On-campus housing scholarships will be offered on a competitive basis to master’s and doctoral students. These scholarships are intended to promote the campus community by supporting students who live in on-campus housing and attend Graduate School full-time.
Housing Scholarship Award
Housing scholarships will be for one year ($500 each semester—Fall/Spring or Spring/Summer) and are renewable (see below).
Eligibility
Student must:
- Have full admissions to a master’s or doctoral degree program
- Live in on-campus housing, scholarships will be revoked for recipients who do not continue to live in on-campus housing.
- Be enrolled in at least nine (9) graduate semester hours
- Be in good academic and disciplinary standing with the University
- Be in good financial standing with the University

Upon notification of the scholarship award, student must submit a housing application and pay the housing deposit. Awarding of the scholarship does not guarantee housing availability.

Selection Process
Selection of scholarship recipients will be based on academic accomplishments and preparation to pursue planned degree programs. Preference will be given to students who plan to pursue graduate degree programs with low enrollment. Selections will be made once a month, April through August for Fall awards and September through December for Spring awards, as long as funds are available.
Renewal
Scholarships can be renewed for a maximum of four (4) consecutive semesters for master’s students and six (6) consecutive semesters for doctoral students. Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) will be reviewed at the conclusion of each year. A minimum cumulative and semester grade point average of 3.0 and successful completion of (9) graduate credit hours each semester of the award are required for renewal of the scholarship for the next academic year.
