Howdy and Aloha my name is Tim Willett and I am the Director of Campus Recreation. I would like to invite everyone to come out to the Morris Recreation Center and see all the exciting programs and events we have to offer. Once you stop by and see all the enthusiasm from our patrons and staff, you’ll be hooked. If there is something you think we need to do, please drop me a line or give me a call and we will look into doing it.
I am a native Texan (La Grange, TX ) but have spent time wandering around this great country of ours. From my years in Lawrence, Kansas (Rock Chalk Jayhawk GO KU!) obtaining my Master’s to my 17 months spent in the desert in Yuma, AZ working with the Marines and of course my 33 months spent on the "Rock" Johnston Island (the largest island in the Johnston Atoll) in the Pacific I have always enjoyed recreation and what it has to offer. JI was a SMALL island (2 miles long and ½ mile wide) but we did a lot of great things out there. I bring that “Aloha” spirit here to Northeast Texas. So if you see me on campus stop me and say "aloha" or "howdy" or just ask me where I got that shirt. I look forward to getting to meet as many of you as possible. Thanks for your time….Mahalo!
