Special Events/Summer Camps
 
 

These events/camps are defined as activities occurring during regularly scheduled operating hours at the Morris Recreation Center (MRC). These activities are typically sponsored by non-profit groups (church groups, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, etc.) or University-sponsored camps (athletic, music, cheer, science, etc.). Typically, the participants in these events/camps are children under the age of 18. Activity spaces available to the Special Events/Summer Camps are the gymnasium, jogging track, rock wall, racquetball courts, and outdoor area. Please note that these areas are to be used on a “shared” basis with current members of the MRC; in other words, they are not reserved solely for the use of the participants involved in Special Events/Summer Camps.

 
     
  Requirements:  
 
  • Reservations must be made two (2) weeks in advance.

 
 
  • Reservation requires a $50 non-refundable deposit.

 
 
  • Each participant must fill out a liability waiver (parent/legal guardian signature required for anyone under the age of 18).

 
 
  • Final payment and waivers are due two (2) days prior to event.

 
 
  • Organization must provide proper supervision - one adult for every ten children ( 1:10 ratio).

 
     
 

Cost:

 
 
  • $200 per hour for groups with 1 – 49 people.

 
 
  • $300 per hour for groups with 50 – 99 people.

 
 
  • $400 per hour for groups with 100+ people.

 
     
 
 
 
 
Lock-In
 
 

The MRC is available for groups who wish to rent the entire facility. The rental of the entire facility may ONLY occur after normal operating hours.

 
     
  Requirements:

  • Reservation requires a $200 non-refundable deposit.

 
 
  • Each participant must fill out a liability waiver (parent/legal guardian signature required for anyone under the age of 18).

 
 
  • Final payment and waivers are due two (2) days prior to event.

 
 
  • Organization must provide proper supervision - one adult for every ten children ( 1:10 ratio).

  • $1500 - 4 hours

 
 
  • $2700 - 8 hours

 
 
  • $4000 - 12 hours
