Texas A&M-Commerce is located in Commerce, a city of about 8,000 residents. Commerce is located just 65 miles northeast of Dallas. Surrounding the Commerce campus are recreation areas such as lakes Texoma, Tawakoni, and Cooper. The city of Greenville, population 24,000, is located 14 miles west of Commerce.

The Morris Recreation Center is located just south of the main campus entrance on Hwy. 50.
