There is a new process in place for obtaining and renewing a Procurement Card.  The steps are as follows:

*NOTE* The training must be completed using Internet Explorer.  It is not supported by Firefox.

1) Log in to Single Sign On at: https://sso.tamus.edu/ and click on the “TrainTraq” option in the SSO Menu.

2) After you click on TrainTraq, click on the “Search” tab at the top of the page.

3)Under "Course Number" type 2111071 and hit search.

4) Once it brings up Procurement Card, click on it, then click "Start Course".

5) Go through the training material then take the exam.

6) Print out your training transcript, located under the "Transcript" tab located at the top of TrainTraq page. This confirms you have been through the training and understand the rules associated with having a procurement card.

7) For New Application: Fill out the "Application/Approval" Form and submit it along with your Training Transcript to Purchasing.

8) For Renewal: Take the training in TrainTraq and bring a copy of your transcript when you pick your card up. (Please check with me to ensure I have received your card)

The Purchasing Card Program is a fast, flexible purchasing method for processing delegated orders from vendors that accept credit cards. The purpose of the Purchasing Card program is to establish a more efficient, cost-effective method of handling delegated purchasing and the related payment procedures.

Used to its potential, the program will result in a significant reduction in the data entry of small orders, receiving, invoices and vouchers, and reduction in related documentation, including invoices and checks.

So, what about you - do you have a Purchasing Card?

No, how do I get one?

Yes, show me the online User's Guide.
