Curt Carlson, Assistant Professor. Trained at the University of Oklahoma, Curt's focus is on memory in applied contexts, primarily in the area of eye-witness identification. Bernadette Gadzella, Professor Emeritus. Bernadette holds a PhD from the University of Ottawa in Canada. She teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in the area of cognitive development, broadly defined. A prolific researcher, Bernadette's recent focus has been in the area of cognition and instruction as it applies to college students. Ray Green, Associate Professor and Director of the Honors Program. A Rutger's PhD, Ray teaches courses in social cognition and I/O at both the graduate and undergraduate level. His primary research interest is in the area of stereotypes. Click here for Dr. Green's Course Materials. Tracy Henley, Professor and Department Head. Tracy's degree is from the University of Tennessee. Trained as a psycholinguist, his research interests focus on the study of cognition and language in applied contexts (including the classroom and computer games). Additionally, Tracy has published three books and numerous articles on matters in the history and philosophy of psychology. Shulan Lu, Assistant Professor and program coordinator. Shulan's degree is from the University of Memphis. Her research program is in the area of cognition and instruction with a focus on the perception of temporal relations. Additional interest include issues surrounding training in virtual environments Benton Pierce, Assistant Professor. Benton completed his PhD at Texas A&M and joined us following a three year post doctoral stint at Harvard. Benton is particularily interested in memory distortions in special populations, including older adults and patients with Alzheimer's disease. Paul Zelhart, Professor Emeritus. Paul's PhD is from the University of Alberta in Canada. A former department head, Paul was instrumental in creating the current doctoral program and remains a vital component of its faculty. The author of over 70 peer-reviewed publications, Paul's current interests span from human cognition and learning into the history and philosophy of psychology.
