PARALEGAL STUDIES PROGRAM

Applying for Admission

Interested in law?  Begin your journey into the legal profession by becoming a paralegal.  As a student at Texas A&M University – Commerce, you can earn a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in paralegal studies in a program that is approved by the American Bar Association (ABA).  You’ll learn from our expert faculty and acquire a comprehensive paralegal education while earning a marketable degree.

Graduates are not authorized to provide direct legal services to the public or to practice law.  The paralegal studies emphasis provides a broadly-based liberal arts and specialized education for paralegals/legal assistants, who are authorized to perform substantive legal work under the supervision of an attorney.  The emphasis does not train lawyers or legal administrators.
