Title :Energy Engineering Education and Research Initiatives

Abstract : The department of petroleum engineering at Texas A&M University is committed to evolve over time to energy engineering. This presentation describes the initiatives in place that are working toward that goal. These include a new natural science core curriculum course, ENGR 101, titled Energy Resources, Utilization, and Importance to Society, an undergraduate Energy Engineering Certificate program, and research. There are plans as well to propose minors in Energy Studies and Energy Engineering.
