News:

Mark Schroeder, a 2005 graduate of the horn studio has been hired by the Duncanville ISD.  Mark was a student teacher during the Spring semester for Duncanville were he worked under Tom Shire and Brian Merrill.  The Duncanville wind ensemble was the 5A honor band and performed at the TMEA convention during February 2005.  Mark was able to gain valuable experience watching Tom and Brian prepare for this important concert. 

Congratulations to Justin Wallis, junior hornist from Whitesboro, Texas for being named drum major of the 2005 A&M-Commerce “Pride Marching Band.”

 Mr. Morrow traveled to Russellville, Arkansas in late September to present a horn masterclass at Arkansas Tech University, (Gary Barrow, Professor of Horn).  During the masterclass he worked with four Tech students and presented a session on teaching beginning instrument classes. 

Congratulations to Jeff Bradford, former horn studio member who is the band director at Sherman High School.  At the recent 4A State Marching Contest, Sherman received third place.  Jeff we’re proud of you.  Other A&M-Commerce alums were Robert Poulin and Arlington Seguin HS- 18th, Mike Lipe and Wylie HS – 12th and Scott Coulson and Poteet HS – 1st
