Text Box: Texas A&M University—Commerce Vocal Division is sponsoring a half-day workshop and culminating concert for students selected for the Area Choir who plan to audition for the Texas All-State Choirs in January.  The day will include full and sectional rehearsals on Area Choir music for 2008: Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms and Allen Koepke’s Wade in de Water. Workshops on audition tips, sight-reading skills, and vocal techniques will be led by faculty from the Music Department’s Vocal Division:  Dr. William Witwer, Director of Choral Activities, Dr. Chris White, Music Department Chair, and voice faculty Dee Ann Gorham and Roger Bryant.  The day will conclude with a concert by the Texas A&M-Commerce Chorale, including a performance of the area music by the workshop participants and Chorale, conducted by Dr. Witwer.
