By voting YES,
you will get a new, first-class Student Center. The new
Student Center will be approximately 100,000 sq. ft. and
will cost $25 million. Your YES vote will create
a new Student Center that is truly student-focused and
student-friendly. It’s YOUR facility, so vote YES.
Specifically, your YES vote will provide the necessary
funding for a new Student Center in which we plan to include
these exciting, fun, student-focused spaces:
• Sports Bar-like Hangout –
this area will boast multiple TVs for watching various
sporting events, the National Trivia Network, multiple
computer stations, and of course, food and beverage
service.
• Outdoor Patio – a nice
‘alfresco’ dining area for the afternoon
that easily converts into a cool hangout spot at night.
Imagine concerts or open mic competitions under the
stars!!!
• Hi-Tech Game Room – no
more old fashion arcade games…we’re talking
X-Box, PlayStation, and computer games. Plop down in
a bean bag and challenge your buddy to a game of John
Madden Football or Halo! Of course, we’ll still
have a few pool tables, foosball, and table tennis.
• Conference Center & Ballrooms
– a superb area with first-class lighting, sound,
flooring, great acoustics, a stage area, ETC.
• Extended Hours – open
til midnight 4 days per week and open til 10 p.m. on
the weekends.
• Jobs – more on-campus
student worker positions…approximately 40 new
jobs will be available in the new Student Center.
