Room Reservation
Located in room 250 of the Sam Rayburn Student Center, is the place
to go to make reservations for your event.
In planning your event, please keep in mind the following:
1) Space must be scheduled and arrangement details provided
at least seventy-two (72) hours in advance to allow
appropriate time for approval and setup.
2) Events utilizing the conference rooms and/or requiring
substantial physical setup should be arranged at least
ten (10) days in advance.
3) Any organization planning an event on campus where
visitors or guests from outside the University community
have been invited must notify the University Police
Department ten (10) days prior to the event before space
can be scheduled (See University Policy IV H-3, Security
of Scheduled Activities).
To make a room reservation, you can either submit
your request by phone (903)886-5809 or drop by the office.
Information required includes:
- Name of the entity
- Name of the contact person
- Event date
- Number attending
- Start time
- End time
- Phone number of the contact person
- Special Request (ex. media, table set up, etc.)
We will assign you the proper room depending on
the nature of the event and number attending.
If you need food service (meal or refreshment) for
your event, please contact Dining
Service at (903)468-4890. If you need a lap top
computer for the presentation, check with Media Service
at the AG/IT R221. If your event is within normal operating
hours (8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m., Monday to Friday) it is
free of charge for the recognized student organization,
faculty and staff. If the event is scheduled after office
hours, you have to pay 8 dollars per hour for the building
manager to work overtime.
