Pull/coax/drag the mouse across the screen to start to control the image.
If you hold down the shift key while dragging the mouse vertically (up and down), you can zoom.
Similarly, you can rotate the image while pulling the mouse horizontally and holding down the shift key.
(Dragging the mouse across while holding down the control key also produces various effects.)
