Writers Read

image of our inspirationStudent Writers Read Their Work

On April 19th, students from throughout the university gathered at the Gee Library to read their original poetry and short stories in a casual, coffeehouse setting. Other students, faculty, staff, and members of the public dropped by to support these budding local authors. This event was one of several being held in honor of National Library Week. First held in 1958, National Library Week celebrates the contributions of our nation's libraries and librarians and promotes library use and support. For more information about National Library Week, please visit the American Library Association at http://www.ala.org/pio/nlw/.

It is not my fault that certain so-called bohemian elements have found in my writings something to hang their peculiar beatnik theories on.
