About Gee Library – Departments – Acquisitions
The Acquisitions Department is responsible for the acquisition of monographs for the A&M-Commerce Libraries (Gee Library in Commerce, Metroplex Campus in Mesquite, and the Navarro Partnership in Corsicana and Midlothian). The Acquisitions Department locates, orders, receives and pays invoices for all monographs, in both print and electronic format, selected for the A&M-Commerce Libraries.
Acquisitions manages donations of gifts-in-kind and works with subject librarians (Business, Education, Humanities, Science, Social Science) in the de-selection (weeding) process.
