Purpose

The purpose of the Instructional Technology and Distance Education (ITDE) Department is to provide support services so that:

• Faculty are able to integrate the use of technology into their instructional deliveries;
  
  
• Degrees and course offerings can be accessed more easily by students; and
  
  
• Students acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to function effectively in a global society.

In addition, ITDE provides outreach services to public schools and rural communities in the Northeast Texas region.
