| Major Job Duties | Providing leadership for the Department of Counseling – including, but not limited to working with faculty, staff, and administrators to achieve university goals. Developing, implementing, and evaluating short- and long-term department plans for CACREP-accredited masters and doctoral programs. Managing department budget and assuming leadership responsibilities for departmental academic programs, faculty, and students. Reviewing existing programs and initiating curriculum development when needed. Faculty responsibilities include teaching, scholarly activity, and service, commensurate with appointment at associate or full professor level | |||

| Required Education and Experience | PhD in hand. Experience appropriate to the position of Department Head. | |||
| Preferred Education and Experience | Preference will be given to individuals with experience in both graduate training as well as in obtaining external research funding. | |||
