| Major Job Duties | The Department of Engineering & Technology at Texas A&M University-Commerce seeks a candidate for a tenure-track faculty position in a new Construction Engineering program with appointment at assistant, associate, or full professor commensurate with qualifications and experience. Candidates should have demonstrated knowledge and ability to teach in three or more of the following areas: materials and methods, structures, hydrology, steel & concrete design, soils, field engineering & surveying, cost estimating, scheduling, contracts, and project management. Successful candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate classes, advise undergraduate students, perform service for the profession, university, and community, and develop an externally funded research program | |||
| Minor Job Duties | ||||
| Required Education and Experience | A Ph.D. in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or closely related discipline is required. Professional Engineering license or the ability to obtain one is required. An outstanding record of scholarship and funded research commensurate with the level of appointment. | |||
| Preferred Education and Experience | Experience and/or expertise in sustainable technology and methods are highly desirable. Priority will be given to individuals with an established program of funded research who can immediately contribute to this strategic area. | |||
