Smith Hall
Smith Hall is a three-story residence hall that houses both female and male students. Smith Hall is made up of double occupancy rooms (with some private room option), community showers, lounges, and a main lobby. Smith Hall offers many opportunities to get involved through programs sponsored by resident assistants or by joining the Smith Hall Association (SHA), which is a recognized student organization. Smith Hall is open to single students of all classifications.
Rooms
Each bedroom includes two beds, two desks, a closet with drawers and shelves, smoke detector, a vanity area with a sink, and a toilet area shared with the room next door. Each room has extended cable service and an Ethernet connection.

Shower Rooms
The shower rooms are located at a central location on each hallway
and include four showers and one bathtub.
Laundry
The laundry facilities are located on each floor adjacent to the
small lounges. There are two laundry facilities on the first floor,
and three laundry facilities on both the second and thrid floors
($.75 to wash and $.50 to dry). Machines work on a debit card system
and there is a machine to purchase a debit card or to add value to a
debit card located in the main lobby area.

The Smith Hall Staff is composed of a hall director and six resident
assistants.

Office Hours
Monday - Friday, 8am - 6am.
Saturday - Sunday, 2pm - 4pm and 6pm - 6am.

A courtyard with patio furniture is adjacent to the main lobby.
Smoking
All facilities in University Housing are non-smoking.
Visitation
10am - 2am
Break Housing
Break Housing is not available in Smith Hall. Those residents who
want to stay for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring Breaks may sign
up in the Residence Life office and be assigned to a temporary room in
another hall for an additional fee. Limited space is available on a
first-come, first-served basis.
Pets
The only pets allowed are fish in a 10 gallon aquarium (maximum
size). One aquarium per resident.
Items not allowed in housing:
Candles/Incense/Oil Lamps (anything with an open flame)
Halogen Lamps
Portable Heaters (anything with heat coils)
Extension Cords
Any other cooking appliances with the exception of a microwave.
