Desk Attendant

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Applicants for the desk attendant position should be enrolled as a student in good standing at A&M Commerce.

  • Be able to arrange classes so that at least two consecutive hours are available in the morning or afternoon or both.

  • Have some knowledge of office equipment (computer knowledge helpful).

  • Possess good communication skills and the ability to work with people.

REPORTS TO:

Hall Director

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Desk Attendant is responsible for the following areas:

  1. Serves as receptionist, referring callers (on phone and in person) to the appropriate person for answers to questions.

  2. Makes appointments with hall director.

  3. Forwards mail when applicable.

  4. Performs other general office functions as needed.

  5. Updates files on computer.
