PHYSICS ADMIN ASSISTANT WINS PRESIDENTIAL AWARD

PRESIDENT'S AWARD - Linda Gilley of Commerce is presented a 2006 President's Meritorious Service Award from Texas A&M University-Commerce President Keith McFarland. Gilley serves as the administrative secretary in the A&M-Commerce Department of Physics. One of five winners of this award, this staff member was recognized as the "general go-to girl" in her department. A seven-year employee of the university, Gilley was honored for her outstanding service to the faculty and students in her department. The Meritorious Service Awards were among honors presented at the President's Holiday Reception on Dec. 12.
