Morning Workshops: 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
1 – Flexible mold making and casting using one-part molds / Instructor Josephine Durkin
ASL/Sculpture Lab Limit: 6
Making three-dimensional duplicates. Learn casting techniques using flexible rubber molds, plastic and pigments.
2. – Studio and Alternative demo’s / Chad Smith
Journalism 3rd Floor Lounge Limit: None (No registration required)
A photography faculty member and/or graduate student will be available for any parents, teachers and interested students to discuss the photography program and give tours of the facilities, along with the opportunity to observe demonstrations of alternative photo processes and studio lighting.
3. – Slip Techniques on Press Molded Platters / Barbara Frey
WTFA 113 Limit: 10
Participants will create platters using clay slabs and plaster press molds. The surface of the platter will be activated by drawing and painting using a variety of slip application techniques including transfers, stencils, and slip trailing.
ALL TOOLS AND MATERIALS WILL BE PROVIDED.

4. – Photoshop "Tricks and Tips" / Vaughn Wascovich
WTFA 207 Limit: 13
This workshop will teach a few simple tricks and tips to encourage and engage students in the myriad aspects of Photoshop. We will explore layers, HDR, Panoramas, Auto-blending focus, etc.
5. – Portfolio Reviews / Michael Miller and Michael Winegarden
Art 205 Limit: 25
You don't have to participate in the scholarship contest if you don't want to. You can sign up for this workshop just to have your portfolio reviewed. If you want to enter the scholarship contest you don't have to do the portfolio review.

6. - Monoprint: Water Media / Thomas Seawell

Individual portfolio reviews. Sign up for an individual time at the registration table located in the Art department.
7. – Airbrushing on T-shirts: Gerard Huber
Art 202 Limit: 12
Morning session involves designing and cutting stencils.
Afternoon session involves airbrushing original designs on the T-shirts.
Attendees must bring a pre-washed T-shirt and Xacto Knife. If the shirt is not previously washed the sizing in the new T-shirt will prevent the paint from adhering, and the design will disappear in the first washing.
You must attend the morning workshop along with the afternoon workshop

A session providing parents, students and teachers with information about departmental programs, cultural resources, and opportunities for international study.

Note: You must complete the first workshop (one-part molds) if you sign up for the second workshop (two-part molds). You can take the first workshop(one-part molds) without taking the second.
