Quantitative Criteria for Admission to the Graduate Programs in Business & Technology

The Graduate School has an easy eight step process to complete your application packet to be considered for admission into the Graduate Programs in Business & Technology.
- An undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0, or at least 3.25 for junior and senior years (last 60 hrs). - To be considered for full admission you have to meet the above mentioned GPA requirement.
- Application.
- Application Fee.
- Three letters of recommendation.
- Current resume/vita.
- Application letter.
- Transcripts (Undergraduate and Graduate If Applicable).
- * Official GMAT/GRE scores sent to the school through Educational Testing Services (ETS).
*(The GMAT/GRE can be waived if UGPA is 3.0 or 3.25 on last 60 hours or above.)
*Probationary Admission --Should you not meet the 3.0 (3.25) GPA requirement as outlined above, you will be required to submit a GMAT/GRE score. An acceptable score for the GMAT is 500 with 20 on the verbal portion. Acceptable for the GRE is 1000 (sum of verbal + quantitative). You will also be required to submit all the numbered items above to be considered for probationary admission.
Non-Degree Admission -- For the applicant with an UGPA of less than 3.0 (3.25 as outlined above) and has not yet completed either the GRE or the GMAT examination, Non-Degree admission is appropriate and will permit them to begin course work and complete a maximum of 12 semester hours (typically four graduate business courses) and apply them directly to their particular degree program. All non-degree status students have to have authorization from the GPB&T office to register for classes. Please email: mba@tamu-commerce.edu the following information when requesting registration clearance-Course Name & Location (i.e., MKT 521.401), Student ID #, Semester Desired.
Applicants whose native language is not English--Are required to submit proof of English proficiency, which is satisfied by:
a. A minimum TOEFL score of 500 for paper-based testing (p-BT) or 173 on computer-based testing (C-BT) or 60 internet-based testing (i-BT); or
b. A minimum IELTS score of 5.0 overall band; or
c. Completing all years of a Bachelor’s degree or higher at a U.S. regionally accredited university
* To be eligible for scholarships and/or financial aid, students must be fully admitted (that does not include probationary admission)
