Mini-Grant Competition
The proposal should explain the project, the methodology to be used, expected outcome and how the funds will be utilized.
Funds can be used for almost any aspect of a research project or creative activity, except to supplement salaries. Purchase of equipment, printing, postage, data searches, data collection and student wages are among the services for which mini-grant funds can be used.
Interested individuals should submit a 1-2 page proposal describing the project and project budget. Also required is a 2-page curriculum vita, which should contain a bibliographical essay or bibliographic information, including activities and publications that support your expertise to carry out the proposed work. Limit CV to two pages, which contains appropriate information to demonstrate your qualifications to complete your research.
Submit complete mini-grant proposal to Natalie Henderson (natalie_henderson@tamu-commerce.edu) in the Office of Graduate Studies and Research by 5:00 p.m., first Monday of November.
Projects that have the potential to result in proposals for extramural funding or major activities leading to publications will be given priority consideration. Recipients will have until the end of the academic year to utilize the funds. Applicants will be notified as to the status of their request by end of November.
