Through the Office of Sponsored Programs, various forms of training are available including workshops, seminars, and the recently purchased online training software, the Collaborative Institutional Training Institute (CITI). Faculty, staff, and students who successfully complete the appropriate training module of CITI will meet compliance with Federal regulations. Starting January 1, 2010, all researchers must successfully complete the ethics module, along with all necessary modules based on the nature of the research, in CITI. Once a specific course is completed, each researcher will receive a certificate, which is valid for two years, at which time a refresher course must be taken.
These efforts will help us continue to better meet the Federal compliance requirements, and also uphold the highest standard of integrity and honesty in all aspects of research and scholarship carried out at the university. I wish you continued success in all your research endeavors.
