Abstract & Poster Registration Information

To complete your abstract & poster registration, you will need to know the following information:

 

• Your Name
• The Name of your University
• An email address where you can be most reliably reached with symposium updates and other information between Sept. 1 - Dec. 15, 2008
• Student Status - Undergraduate, Master's, Doctoral
• Project co-author name(s)
• Project faculty mentor/adviser name(s)
• Project academic discipline (disciplines are listed below)

  • Business & Computer Information Systems
  • Computer Science
  • Education
  • Engineering
  • Environmental Science
  • Life Science
  • Physical Science
  • Social Sciences - Humanities
• Project title
• Project abstract/summary
  • The abstract should summarize the background for your research, your research hypothesis or assumptions, your methodology, the results you have obtained, and the importance of the research in context of your discipline. Length limit is 300 words; if your abstract is longer than 300 words, only the first 300 words will be accepted.
  • The judge's evaluation will include an assessment of whether your abstract is concise and accurate and if the abstract accurately reflects the work presented on your poster.
• Student is paying registration payment:
  • A credit card payment of $31 ($1 processing fee) is required for those students who will be paying for his/her own registration. You will need to know your credit card type, credit card number & card expiration date. Your registration will not be complete until your payment has been received. Paying by electronic check is also available.
    
• University is paying registration payment:
  • Once you have completed the registration and abstract form, your registration is complete. Your home University will be invoiced for your $30 fee.
  • Payment Deadline is October 31, 2008.
