Loan Information and the Loan Interview Process
When you borrow a loan for the first time, (Direct, FFELP,etc.) federal regulations require you to complete entrance counseling. Loan counseling helps students learn the terms and conditions involved with borrowing a federal student loan. You may be required to complete loan counseling at more than one school if you transfer. You may complete the loan interview requirement at A&M-Commerce by two methods, online using the direct loan entrance counseling website or in person in our office in Halladay Student Services Rm 100. Loan exit counseling is also required when students are leaving the university. Our exit interviews are done in our office and are meant to reinforce the terms and conditions of the loans as well as to familiarize the borrower with terms of repayment. Students may receive approximate student loan debt amounts and may start planning for repayment. Feel free to come by our office for further information on either entrance or exit counseling.
