Ron Jackson

HEROES

Conference 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. * Registration 8:30-9:00 a.m.

Texas A&M-Commerce Metroplex Center; 2600 Motley Dr., Mesquite, Texas

Ron Jackson, school leader and motivational presenter, will share the successes, trials, and opportunities of those who do great things and little things in a great way. School improvement and working with at-risk student populations is not a new challenge for Ron Jackson. As a former missions worker and school starter, Ron has worked with students, faculties, and community members to turn around low-performing schools. Ron will share his secrets of facilitating the transition of schools filled with violence, gang activity, and drugs to schools students were trying to transfer into, rather than out of.

Ron has expertise working with large, urban, and failing schools and shares his stories and best practices of motivating staff members—information that can assist school leaders, regardless of population served. You will hear Ron’s strategies, honed by experience, to increase student achievement, help eliminate school violence, and turn failing schools into model schools.

Ron has served as a teacher, principal, and area administrator. He has been a facilitator for a $75 million joint venture between Oklahoma City and Oklahoma City Schools to remodel or rebuild all Oklahoma City school facilities, and now serves as a superintendent of schools.
