Rex Carr, Assistant Professor of Educational Administration, joined the TAMU-Commerce faculty in August 2003. His professional interests include the principalship, superintendency, strategic planning, organizational development, program evaluation, policy research and school governance issues. He serves as the director of East Texas School Study Council and School Board Workshop. He earned his M.S., from the University of Kansas and Ph.D. from the University of Iowa. His professional education career of over forty years consisted of serving in various administrative positions in Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas including Deputy Superintendent in Richardson, Texas ISD and Superintendent in Tomball, Texas ISD and Edmond, Oklahoma Public Schools. Dr. Carr also served as an educational consultant and Director of Leadership Development for the Region IV Educational Service Center in Houston prior to joining the faculty in Educational Administration. |
