Microsoft Campus Agreement - At Home Licensing

In addition to installing software on your office computer/computers, the Microsoft Campus Agreement (MSCA) allows current, eligible Texas A&M University-Commerce faculty, professional staff and office personnel to install and use any of the selected Microsoft products listed below on one computer that he or she owns. The following are defined by the MSCA as ineligible: students, temporary employees, persons with fellowships, visiting scholars, adjunct professors, visiting instructors/professors, student employees (both undergraduate and graduate), independent contractors, outside paid consultants and widows and widowers of Texas A&M University-Commerce employees and retirees.

The cost of the Microsoft software licenses is covered by the agreement, but distribution media (CD-ROMS) can only be installed through the following options:

  • Option 1  Purchase and distribute one copy of each applicable CD-ROM or disk set for each authorized user.   Media for Work at Home use is purchased through Technology Services and may not be duplicated. 
  • Option 2  Users may bring-in their computers for manual installation by Technology Services.  Please call extension 6000 for more information.

Both options require that the user complete and sign an acceptance form before software is delivered.

Media is purchased through Technology Services during regular business hours. Payment for media will be accepted in the form of cash or check for the exact purchase amount only.  Change can be made at the cashier's office located across the hall from Technology Services.
