Changing Eudora's Greenwich Mean Time to Central Time

1. At the DOS prompt [C:] type edit c:\autoexec.bat. This will put you in the DOS editor, so that you can make changes to your autoexec.bat file.

2. *At the top of the file you will need to type set tz=cst6cdt. Select the File drop down menu and click on Save. Then File and Exit. Type exit at the C: prompt.

3. At this point you will need to restart your computer.

*Note: you will need to make sure that your computer has the correct time and date. If it does not, you will need to go to your C: prompt and type time=the correct time and date=the correct date. Press enter.

As you correspond with others, keep in mind that they may still reflect Greenwich Mean Time on their e-mail.
