1. After logging onto the network as the user who wishes to map a network drive, open My Computer.
2. Click Tools on the menu.

3. Select Map Network Drive.

4. In the Map Network Drive wizard, select the drive letter your department is using (the R drive in your case) in the Drive drop down box.

5. Enter the location of the share. The path will be the
following: \\ctis\dfsroot\ShareName\
Normally the share name will be the name of your department. It may also
contain your name following the share name. If, for example, George
Washington worked for the Presidential department and had a folder on the
network, his path would probably be
\\ctis\dfsroot\presidential\WashingtonGeorge.
6. Select Reconnect at logon so that this share will be recreated each time you logon.
7. Save the directions in case something happens and you need to recreate the share.
