Setup Procedures for Windows XP

Go to your Start button on your windows toolbar (usually found at the bottom of your screen).  Then choose All Programs, then Accessories, then Communications, and then New Connection Wizard.

If prompted, enter your Area Code. Click the Next button. On the next screen, click OK.

Click Next.

Network Connection Type

Choose Connect to Internet and click Next.

Getting Ready

Choose Setup Manually and click Next.

Internet Connection

Choose Connect using dial up modem and click Next.

Connection Name

Type A&M Commerce as the ISP name and click Next.

Phone Number to Dial

Enter the appropriate dial up phone number you wish to connect to.

Commerce:

903-886-8092

TAMU-Commerce Dorms:

9,903-886-8092

Click Next.

Connection Availability

If you are the only user on this computer, click Next.

If you are logged on as an Administrator and you wish for other users to be able to use this connection, choose Anyone’s Use and click Next.

Internet Account Information

Type your username and password in the appropriate fields and click Next.

Click on Finish.

Congratulations, you are all done!  To connect to the Internet, run Inernet Explorer from the Start Menu and choose Connect.
