National Depression Screening Day
October 5, 2006

National Depression Screening Day is a public education program, and thousands of people will be participating in screenings at college campuses around the country. The goal is to educate people about the signs of depression, manic-depression, and suicide. You can learn how to get help for yourself or a friend.

The Counseling Center is conducting anonymous screenings (no names requested), along with confidential interviews, on the A&M-Commerce campus throughout the week of October 2-6. On-line screenings for depression, alcohol, eating disorders, etc. are available at http://www.tamu-commerce.edu/counseling_center

On-campus screenings (open to the public) will be held:

  • Monday, October 2 - 12:00 - 1:00 pm - Morris Recreation Center
    1:00 - 3:00 pm - Student Health Services
  • Wednesday, October 4 - 12:00 - 2:00 pm - Berry Hall
  • Thursday, October 5 - 11:00 am - 1:00 pm - Bookstore Foyer, MSC
  • Friday, October 6 - 12:00 - 1:00 pm - Morris Recreation Center
