NOTES:
You
will be required to use a graphing calculator for this class. I will be using a TI-83 plus graphing
calculator for demonstration in class.
See me if you do not plan on purchasing or borrowing a TI-83 for this
class. We are required to cover sections
in Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. It is
your responsibility to come to class on time and to be ready to
participate. If you are completely lost
on a problem (or problems) you need to come for help during office hours or
visit the math lab. Please make use of
every resource that is available to help you.
Grades for students in
freshmen level classes will be reported to the Registrar's Office at the end of
the fifth week of class during the fall and spring semesters. The Registrar's
Office will report grades to students, Advising Services, Academic Departments
(faculty advisors) and mentors. This procedure will allow students to be
knowledgeable about their academic progress early in the semester. The
university, through Advising Services, faculty advisors and mentors, will take
steps to assist students who may be experiencing difficulty to focus on
improvement and course completion. Early intervention for freshman students is
designed to communicate to students the University's interest in their success and willingness to participate fully to help students
accomplish their objectives.
