Bridling

Bridling should always be down after saddling the horse. Bridle from the left side with body position directly behind the left ear of the horse. Protect your head from the horse's head and handle the horse's ears carefully. Following safety precautions when bridling is a must because horses may become head shy making it difficult for the rider to keep control of the horse's head. To manitain saftey and control, the handler should place the halter around the horse's neck.

A: Place the crown of the bridle in the right hand and place the bit in the left hand

B: The thumb should be placed at the bars while the fingers guide the bit into the horse's mouth

 

C: By opening his mouth the horse allows the rider to pull the bit gentley into the mouth

D:After inserting the bit, adjust the bridle so there are 1 to 2 wrinkles at the corner of the mouth
