Dual Admissions
Dual Admissions is a great opportunity for students that are looking to attend Texas A&M University-Commerce, but want to start at a junior/community college. With this program, you will attend classes at your 2 year institution for the first two years. Throughout this time you would be in contact with an advisor at A&M-Commerce to make sure that each class you take will fit within your degree plan. Once you have finished your two years at your junior/community college, then you would be able to transfer right into A&M-Commerce.
In addition to your commitment to this program, you may choose to receive access to our campus. You will have access to our campus library with your Texshare card. Students with dual admission will be provided with scholarship and financial aid information through admission and advising materials. You may receive access to our Recreational Center for a minimum daily fee and also may purchase student tickets to athletic events and theatre productions.
Texas A&M University-Commerce works with junior/community colleges to provide a seamless transfer. Junior/Community Colleges participating with A&M-Commerce in the dual admissions programs are:
- Dallas County Community College District
- Collin County Community College District
- Grayson County College
- Kilgore College Northeast
