02.04.17.R1 Operation of the Texas A&M University-Commerce Metroplex Center

Supplements System Policy 02.04.17

1. The purpose of the Texas A&M University-Commerce Metroplex Center (“MC”) located in Mesquite, Texas, is to extend the instructional programs, library and media resources and student services of Texas A&M University - Commerce (“main campus”) to students in the Dallas - Ft. Worth Metroplex Area. The MC is an extension of Texas A&M University-Commerce, and is subject to central coordination from the main campus. Responsibility for academic services and programs remains with the main campus. The Center is subject to the rules and regulations of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board governing off-campus activities.

2. The Dean for Graduate Studies and Research on the main campus has the responsibility for the coordination of all functions related to the MC. Pursuant to this authority, the Dean shall, after concurrence by the appropriate main campus administrator, publish, maintain and disseminate procedures for the management of 1) fiscal affairs, 2) physical plant, 3) personnel, 4) admissions and records, 5) academic programs and instructional services, and 6) student services.
